PDF files are most preferred, however EPS and AI files are acceptable. Incorrect files or formats may cause a delay to the order. Images and graphics should be at a minimum of 300 DPI at final print size. Lower resolutions tend to look blurry or pixelated once printed, especially on larger formats.

Pictures and graphics pulled from the internet are often low resolution, typically 72 DPI or 96 DPI. Avoid using these types of graphics in your designs, as they will appear pixilated and blocky when printed as well.

Files should be convert to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) for printing. This will give you a more accurate color representation rather than RGB (red, green, and blue).

Printers use the CMYK color model while your computer screen uses the RGB color model, which can shift unpredictably when converted during the printing process. Artwork that is submitted using other color models would need to be converted to CMYK, which could cause slight color changes from your screen to print.

A bleed is the area of the paper that will be trimmed off after the job is printed.

You will want to include bleeds in your files whenever you want the ink to be printed all the way to edge.

Printers cannot print all the way to the edge. So for a job to be finished with a bleed, the file has to extend past the final size and then be trimmed down. We usually suggest to have a bleed area between 1/8” to 1/4”. We ask for this so that if we are off by a fraction of a millimeter when we are cutting, there won’t be any ugly white edges showing on your job!

Your order will be completed on an average of 2 days not counting the day the order comes in. If an order requires typesetting that department will need 1 to 2 more days. Proofing and changes will also add more time.

A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned according to your requirements. Typically, we will produce a proof which will be sent to you online or printed on paper which can be viewed in our store. A proof is required on all jobs that have been typeset.

On multiple color jobs, we can produce a color proof on our color output device to show how the different colors will appear.

Coated paper stock is a premium, high-quality paper that has been given a smooth glossy finish designed specifically for documents that require sharp details and vivid colors. Uncoated paper, by contrast, is relatively inexpensive but porous, and is best suited to the printing of black and white text documents.
